A high-backed dining side chair with a split back — two tall upholstered panels rising from the seat, parted by a narrow vertical gap that reveals a slim solid walnut spine. Dressed in ivory cream velvet on long tapered walnut legs, it reads as quiet from the front and unmistakable from behind, where most dining chairs are an afterthought.
The proportions are drawn for the table. With a seat height of 46 cm and an overall height of about 100 cm, the Tuli is matched to standard 75 cm dining tables; armless and compact, it slides fully beneath the tabletop and sits close together when settings are tight. The tall back supports through a long dinner, while the thin, firm seat and long legs keep the silhouette light around a table for six, eight or more. Sold individually and in sets of two, four or six.
The velvet is dense, soft to the hand and hard-wearing, finished with a fine piping that traces every edge; for contract or family use it can be specified in a performance velvet. The legs and back spine are solid American walnut, matte oil-finished, deepening gently in tone over time. The upholstered shell is built to be re-covered if a scheme changes.
Made to order and customisable on request: velvet colour or fabric can be changed — including a deep burnt orange for a bolder accent — the walnut finished darker or replaced with oak, and the chair produced in any quantity for a project. Trade and contract quotations available.

Payment is made in full at order; a 50% deposit is available on request. Production and delivery times are given above for each piece. Delivery is free, door to door, with duties and import taxes paid by us. As each piece is made to your order, returns for change of mind are not accepted. Pieces damaged or lost in transit are refunded or replaced in full — notify us within 30 days.

We begin the day you decide.
Because nothing is held in stock, your furniture does not exist until you commission it. That is the point. The wait is the work — and the work shows in every joint, edge and polished face.
I. Commission
You choose stone, wood and size. We confirm every detail in writing before a single cut is made.
II. Workshop
The material is selected by hand and your piece is made for you, joint by joint, in our partner workshop, under the supervision of our French design team.
III. Crating
Your piece is crated in reinforced timber with foam, corner guards and moisture wrapping.
IV. Delivery
Shipped by sea to 41 countries and delivered door to door, free, with duties and import taxes paid by us. Damage in transit is covered for 30 days.

Delivery is free, door to door, Delivered Duty Paid. Your piece is crated in reinforced timber and shipped by sea freight, insured and tracked. We pay all customs duties and import taxes, so nothing is due on delivery. Delivery is to the ground-level door of your address; carrying inside, unpacking and assembly are not included unless agreed before you order.
Yes. You can pay in full when you order, or ask us for a 50% deposit at order with the balance paid before dispatch. Contact us before ordering to arrange a deposit.
As every piece is made to your order, we do not accept returns for change of mind. If your piece arrives damaged or is lost in transit, tell us within 30 days for a full refund or a free replacement. Every piece is also guaranteed against manufacturing defects for 2 years. See our Refund Policy.
