Kerros Rect — Travertine & Banded Onyx Rectangular Dining Table
The Kerros Rect pairs a honed travertine top with a solid banded onyx plinth — two stones from the same calcite family, read in two registers. The travertine is cream-ivory, matte, open-pored; the onyx is stratified into horizontal bands of honey, amber and pale gold. From across a room the table resolves into a single low horizontal plane; up close, the layered onyx carries all the detail. The edge is square-cut and honed, the base-to-top connection concealed — no visible hardware.
It comes in three rectangular sizes — 213, 244 and 274 cm — seating six, eight, or up to ten. The 213 cm fits a defined dining area or a larger apartment; the 274 cm anchors an open-plan living space, a villa dining room, or a private-dining setting in a hospitality project. Because the support is a single central plinth rather than corner legs, seating runs uninterrupted end to end, and the table works equally as a dining table, a meeting table in a design-led office, or the centrepiece of a residential scheme.
Both surfaces are sealed honed natural stone — dense, and resistant to heat and scratching under normal use. The material ages by gaining character rather than wearing: travertine deepens in warmth over years of use, and the onyx banding shifts visibly as the light changes through the day. Natural variation means no two tops are identical — worth noting when specifying a piece that should read as unique within a project.
Every Kerros Rect is made to order. Dimensions can be adjusted, alternative stones specified (other travertine tones, marble, or a darker onyx), and the construction adapted for residential or commercial use. Trade and project quotations are available on request.
