Joki Round — Solid Walnut Sculptural Fan-Pedestal Dining Table
A round dining table cut entirely from solid American walnut — top and base, one wood, one finish, no metal. The Ø 150 cm plateau reads as a single disc of warm brown grain rolling to a softly curved edge. Beneath it, the pedestal is a gathered sheaf of ten concave walnut ribs that splay at the floor, draw in at the waist, and fan out again to meet the top — solid wood that holds shadow.
At 150 cm diameter it seats six comfortably and eight when needed, with a single central pedestal that keeps the perimeter clear of legs, so every chair pulls in cleanly. The round format suits conversation-led dining and works as well in a residential dining room as in a design-led meeting space or a private-dining setting. Made in one size as standard, scalable up or down to order.
Solid walnut is finished in a matte, food-safe hardwax oil — no lacquer film, so the surface is maintained and refreshed over decades rather than replaced. Walnut deepens with light and use, and the open grain keeps the top tactile rather than glassy. As a one-wood construction it ages as a single object, with no metal joint to loosen.
Made to order. The diameter can be adjusted, the species changed to oak or ash on request, and the finish specified to match an existing scheme. Suitable for residential or contract use; trade and project quotations available.
