The Haara Dining Side Chair — Smoked Oak Frame with Floating Ivory Upholstered Back
A dining side chair built around a single gesture: a floating backrest that rises on a sculpted neck of smoked oak and wraps in ivory bouclé in one continuous arc. The frame is solid smoked oak, wire-brushed so the grain reads through the mid-tone finish, with the legs tapered and the joints sculpted into smooth transitions rather than hard angles. The seat is generously padded in the same ivory bouclé.
Armless and compact at 52 cm wide, it tucks fully under the table and sits close together when place settings are tight — which makes it as suited to a six- or eight-seat dining table as to a longer hosting layout. It is comfortable enough for a long dinner and resolved enough to read as a design object in its own right, at home in a residential dining room, a private-dining space, or a hospitality setting. Sold individually and in sets of two, four, six or more.
Solid oak takes daily use without complaint, and the bouclé is a dense, hard-wearing upholstery that holds its shape; for high-traffic or contract use it can be specified in a performance fabric or leather. The smoked finish hides wear better than a pale natural oak and deepens quietly over time.
