The Crest Dining Armchair — Solid Walnut, Channel Upholstery & Brushed Brass Sabots
A dining armchair named for its back: a solid walnut panel that rises behind the sitter and notches at the crown like a carved architectural relief. Cut from solid American black walnut, the panel stands proud and structural, giving the chair the presence of an object rather than a seat. The two front legs taper cleanly to brushed brass sabots, grounding the walnut with a precise metallic line.
The seat and inner back are wrapped in ivory bouclé worked in fine vertical channels — a mid-century reference held to a contemporary restraint — over high-density cushioning calibrated for long dinners rather than brief visits. As an armchair it suits a dining table, a desk, or an occasional seat in a study or suite. Sold individually and in sets of two, four, six or more.
The walnut is solid, matte-finished and deepens in tone with use; the brass sabots are brushed, so they patinate gently rather than scratching bright. Where wood meets fabric the seam is kept clean and tight. For contract or high-traffic use the bouclé can be specified in a performance fabric or leather, and the upholstered elements re-covered down the line.
