Kivi Rect — Emperador Dark All-Marble Cone Pedestal Rectangular Dining Table

The Kivi Rect is the darkest object in the collection — and it earns that darkness. The plateau is a wide rectangle of Emperador Dark, its corners rounded into a generous curve that softens the rectilinear format without compromising it. Polished to a mirror, the stone is deep chocolate-brown, its veining cream and pale gold — at dining scale, the surface has the quality of a still body of water at night: dark, luminous, and apparently bottomless.

Beneath the plateau, the same stone from the same quarry blocks has been worked into a truncated cone. Wider at its base than at its crown, the proportion communicates stability and the irreducible mass of the material. The veining of the Emperador crosses the horizontal junction uninterrupted — there is no top, no base, only a continuum of material that happens to be resolved at dining height.

The Kivi Rect is the counterpart to the Kivi Round: same geological conviction, same monomatière absolute, same refusal of anything that does not belong to the stone. Where the Kivi Round is intimate and convivial, the Kivi Rect is formal, directional, and designed for the long table of a serious dining room.
