Pylväs Round — Emperador Dark All-Marble Fluted Column Dining Table
The Pylväs Round begins with a single material decision — Emperador Dark — and follows it without compromise to its conclusion. The plateau is a wide disc of this Spanish marble: deep chocolate-brown ground, veining in cream, pale gold and amber that moves across the surface with the loose, geological confidence of something that has been forming for forty million years. The pedestal is the same marble, taken from the same quarry lot, and worked into a different form: a full cylinder, its surface articulated by sixteen vertical flutes carved directly into the stone, each one a precise concave channel that runs the full height of the column and catches the room's light in a shadow that shifts as you move around the table.
The veining of the Emperador passes through the flutes uninterrupted. A channel cut into the stone does not stop the marble's geology — it reveals it at a different angle, in a different section, so that each flute becomes a window into the interior of the block. Viewed close-up, the pedestal is a library of cross-sections, each one unique, each one a record of the stone's formation. This is the detail that distinguishes the Pylväs from any table that uses fluting as a decorative overlay: here the flute is a geological cut, not an applied texture.
The plateau overhangs the column generously. Its edge is a full bullnose — heavy, confident, communicating the thickness of the slab without needing to announce it. There is no apron, no transition detail, no hardware visible from any seated position. The table is one material, two forms, and a great deal of geological time.
Suited for 4 to 8 guests depending on diameter. The most photographable table in the collection.

The Pylväs Round sits at the intersection of two powerful design languages: the classical column — the most persistent architectural element in Western history — and the geological monolith — the material conviction that one stone, unadorned, is enough. The fluted column in marble is a vocabulary that runs from ancient Greece to contemporary Italian design studios, but in Emperador Dark it acquires a character that the classical tradition never intended: warm, dramatic, almost nocturnal. It is the table for the one who wants history without pastiche, grandeur without pretension, and material conviction without colour.
