stone-walnut-dining-table-oksa
Oksa — Stone & Walnut Dining Table

An oval dining table built on a single idea: a solid stone top resting on a cluster of hand-turned walnut legs that cross and lock at the centre like branches. The top is a 3 cm slab of natural stone — never a veneer, never a composite — with a softly bevelled edge that catches the light differently through the day. Below, round solid-walnut legs splay and interlock from a central node, tapering to the floor, reading as the base of a tree as much as a table support.

Offered in three sizes: a 4-seater at 160 × 95 cm for an apartment or breakfast room, a 6-seater at 200 × 115 cm for the everyday dining room, and an 8-seater at 240 × 130 cm scaled as an anchoring piece for an open-plan penthouse or a villa. Because the base gathers at the centre, the full perimeter stays free at every size — no corner legs, no stretchers, and the oval ends add a place without creating a head of the table.

Three stones, each with a distinct character. Amber Grey Marble — warm grey shot through with amber and bronze veining — is the original Oksa. Nero Marquina Marble sets fine white veins against deep black for a graphic, evening register; it is supplied honed, a finish more forgiving of daily use than polished black stone. Ivory Travertine, honed and filled, brings a quiet mineral warmth. The base is solid walnut, hand-turned and oil-finished; natural oak or other woods can be specified on request.

The structure is engineered to carry solid stone. A steel hub is set within the node where the legs meet, and a slim steel frame, concealed beneath the top and set back from its edge, carries the stone toward the ends. None of it is visible; the result is a top that feels as secure at its edge as at its centre. Sealed and cared for, natural stone ages by deepening in character, and because each top is cut from a different slab, no two Oksa tables are the same.

Produced in small series and made to order. Other dimensions, stones — including quartzite — woods and finishes can be studied on request for residential and contract projects. Trade and project quotations available.

An oval solid stone dining table for 4, 6 or 8 on a sculptural solid walnut base, suited to apartments, penthouses, villas and design-led dining rooms.
