The steel is hot-oxidised by hand to a soft, cloudy patina — cool silver-grey, with passing tones of bronze and blue that shift with the light through the day. No two tops are alike. At the centre, a small disc of solid wood is set flush into the steel, framed by a fine shadow line: a single point of warmth in a mineral surface.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"body-text\"\u003eBeneath it, two broad cylinders of solid wood stand side by side, with no legs or stretchers, so chairs move freely around the full circumference. The base is generous by design — it reads as permanent, anchors the room, and gives the table the quiet weight of an architectural object.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"body-text\"\u003eOffered for four at Ø 120 cm and six at Ø 150 cm, in three woods for the base and inlay. Teak, warm honey, from certified plantation sources. Walnut, deep chocolate brown with fine straight grain. Ebonized Oak, matte black with the open grain still readable — a graphic accent against the grey steel. The steel patina is the same on every version.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"body-text\"\u003eThe construction is honest throughout. The top is a 10 mm steel plate with a welded 4 cm edge, stiffened by a concealed steel grid — solid metal, never a veneer. The wood inlay floats in a welded steel tray, held from below with a 2 mm shadow gap so it can move with the seasons without cracking. Each cylinder is built from solid staves around a steel core, with concealed ballast and adjustable levellers at the floor. The patina is sealed to stabilise it while letting it continue to deepen gently with use.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"body-text\"\u003eMade to order in our workshop.
